APTUMBUILD secured a contract to build and construct 10 new cabins at Camp Dearborn in Milford, MI.

Established in 1948, Camp Dearborn, the city's unique 626-acre recreational retreat in Milford, offers a wide range of overnight camping options, including rustic cabins and resort cabins, as well as sites for camper-provided tents or trailers. Camp Dearborn's exceptional amenities include: a half-mile of sandy beach, athletic fields and tennis courts, shaded picnic areas, swimming and fishing lakes, concession stand and a 27-hole championship golf course.

Camp Dearborn has been a place to make memories for thousands of families over the years. Summer after summer families and friends still meet to create lasting memories of fishing, swimming, camping, and dances at the famous canteen. Many of those same families first came to Camp Dearborn as kids and have continued the tradition with their families now.

APTUMBUILD constructs 10 new cabins to replace the old “Green Tents”

Challenges - A short turn around to build and construct housing in place prior to Labor Day weekend. Aptumbuild was commissioned to build the units in green to replace the traditional legacy “Green Tents” formerly at the Camp. These housing units were a beloved symbol of Camp Dearborn and its community. Aptumbuild solutions had to be modern and high quality while maintaining the traditional look of the previous housing. Add to that a limited budget and less than 30 days to build. Aptumbuild thrived under pressure, meeting or exceeding every milestone along the way.
